Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid, 2023 La Liga-Update

The 100 million man of Real Madrid found the back of the net for the fourth time in three games, leading his team to their third victory of the season.

Bellingham continued his heroics for Madrid, securing his side’s win for the third consecutive game with a late header against a well-prepared Celta Vigo opponent. Despite Vinicius Jr’s early exit due to injury, Real Madrid struggled but managed to secure a challenging 1-0 victory on the road. Bellingham has now scored four goals in three matches since the start of the La Liga season.

Celta Vigo had an early goal disallowed within the first four minutes, with Jorgen Strand Larsen’s effort ruled out after Kepa Arrizibalaga was deemed to have been fouled during the build-up. Madrid’s luck took a turn when Vinicius Jr was substituted off due to a thigh injury just ten minutes later.

The absence of their star player was evident as Madrid lacked their usual sharpness. Vinicius Jr’s replacement, Joselu, came closest to scoring in the first half, but his goal was ruled offside after receiving a pass from Jude Bellingham. Another crucial chance was set up by Bellingham, as his pass found Rodrygo, who was brought down by the Celta Vigo goalkeeper in the penalty area. Unfortunately, the subsequent penalty kick was missed.

However, Bellingham capitalized on an opportunity of his own, sealing Madrid’s victory. The recent addition to the team scored the only goal of the match, executing a diving header from a well-coordinated corner routine to secure a 1-0 win despite an otherwise subpar performance.
