Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrates Hyderabad liberation day

Central Home Minister Amit Shah arrived here on Saturday evening to participate in the ‘Hyderabad Liberation Day’ celebrations, which marks the integration of the former princely state of Hyderabad into the Indian Union on September 17, 1948. BJP sources revealed that Central Tourism Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy, the party’s National General Secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and other leaders welcomed Shah at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on the outskirts of the city.

The ‘Liberation Day’ program, set to take place at the city’s parade ground, is being organized by the central government. Shah also participated in the celebrations last year, which were officially organized by the central government for the first time.
