India defeated Pakistan by 228 runs in their Super 4 match of the Asia Cup 2023 at theR. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Sunday.

India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and tagged to club first. The Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul put on a 132-run cooperation for the first gate before Rahul was dismissed for 51. Rohit Sharma went on to score 122 runs before he was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi.

Virat Kohli scored 42 runs before he was dismissed by Hasan Ali, while Suryakumar Yadav scored 28 runs. Hardik Pandya scored 34 runs off 18 balls to help India post an aggregate of 356- 5 in their 50 overs.
Pakistan’s fur was noway really in the game as they were sailed out for 128 in in35.4 overs. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan with 45 runs, while Babar Azam scored 28 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the Indian bowlers with 3- 19, while Yuzvendra Chahal took 2- 27.
